A field that’s full of favourites
Welcome to Stocklands Lake. Nestled in a valley just north of Braunton and a short drive from North Devon’s famous beaches, Stocklands Lake is a magical place to host your dream party.
A large, grassed area by the side of the lake is the perfect space for hosting events; it has electricity and drinking water, as well as parking. If you need any more persuasion, the field can also be hired with a 2-bedroom farmhouse cottage, ideal for the happy couple or family!
Stocklands Lake is new to the party and wedding scene in 2019 and - to minimise the impact on the wildlife - will only be made available for a handful of weekends each year. Scroll down to find out more.
It’s all in the details
The most impressive thing about Stocklands Lake wedding venue is its flexibility.
The day before your event, the field becomes yours to dress as you please. You can use the field for camping, marquees, build grand entranceways or add all sorts of little touches. All we ask is that you leave the field as you found it.
The field has power in three locations (providing up to 22 kilowatts) as well as three drinking water taps.
There is also a bonfire pit with benches, a jetty complete with a small rowing boat (and feel free to use our paddle boards!), a swing, viewing platform, a miniature ‘wishing’ waterfall, bridge and ‘love island’, and a small beach area.
The venue hire package includes use of our 2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 6). The cottage overlooks the lake and is a perfect base for your wedding. Small but perfectly formed it contains one double room, one twin room, plus a pull out double bed in the living room (as well as bathroom and kitchen of course!).
We are conveniently located just off the main road between Braunton and Ilfracombe. There is a car park with a 15-car capacity, plus parking along the hedgerows and on the grass for around 15 additional cars (although fewer if it is wet) so we recommend car share/shuttles. As we are in the middle of the countryside we recommend your guests to pre-book taxis.
